Victoria Forest Resort is located on Bugala Island near Lutoboka bay. Bugala Island is the largest of the Ssese Islands.
Visitor can get to Bugala Island on the MV Kalangala Ferry from Nakiwogo landing site near Entebbe. It departs the mainland at 2.00pm daily and docks at Lutoboka bay. The Ferry sets off every morning at 8.00am from Lutoboka bay to Nakiwogo Landing site. The journey from Nakiwogo to Bugala Island is approximately about Three and a half hours. First class seating costs Ush. 14,000 while second class seating costs USh. 10,000. Ferrying a vehicle will cost you a minimum of Ush. 50, 000 and price increases will be determined by the size of the vehicle. It is recommended that you arrive 2 hours earlier to get a comfortable seat.

Victoria Forest Resort provides a shuttle to pick our clients from Lutoboka bay and also takes them back at the end of their residency at our resort.
Bukakata mainland is located 36km east of Masaka .the ferry takes approximately 50 minutes to get to Bugala Island. it docks at Bugoma and you get transportation to Victoria Forest Resort. The ferry has many trips scheduled at various times during the day from 8.00am to 5.00pm. The ferry does not operate on Sunday. The ferry schedule changes often, so it is recommended that you inquire from the Victoria Forest Resort to get accurate and updated travel information.
