How to travel from Nakiwogo
Visitor can get to Bugala Island on the MV Kalangala Ferry from Nakiwogo landing site near Entebbe. It departs the mainland at 1400HRS daily and docks at Lutoboka bay. The Ferry sets off every morning at 0800HRSfrom Lutoboka bay to Nakiwogo Landing site. The journey from Nakiwogo to Bugala Island is approximately about Three and a half hours. First class seating costs Ush. 14,000 while Economy class seating costs USh. 10,000. Ferrying a vehicle will cost you a minimum of Ush. 50, 000 and price increases will be determined by the size of the vehicle. It is recommended that you arrive 2 hours earlier to get a comfortable seat.
How to travel from Bukakata
Bukakata mainland is located 36km east of Masaka, the ferry takes approximately 30 minutes to get to Bugala Island. it docks at Bugoma and you get transportation to Victoria Forest Resort. The ferry has many trips scheduled at various times during the day from 0800HRS to 1700HRS. The ferry does not operate on Sunday. The ferry schedule changes often, so it is recommended that you inquire from the Victoria Forest Resort to get accurate and updated travel information.
